ABOUT SIMMS

Simms Wright is a US-based cinematographer with a genuine passion for visual story telling via the technical crafts.

An early obsession led him to the University of North Carolina School of the Arts, where he earned his degree in cinematography and received one of three ASC Student Heritage Award nominations for his thesis film.

After school, Simms built his career in ICG Local 600 on Atlanta's film and television productions, loading both film and digital on shows including The Walking Dead, WandaVision, and Tell Me Lies, before making his feature debut as director of photography on Party USA, which has played at Cinequest, Atlanta Film Festival, and Woods Hole and is currently seeking distribution.

Simms is currently enrolled in the American Film Institute in Los Angeles studying cinematography.
